The Harbor breeze Baja fan is quite a fan! We purchased the aged bronze model, but it also comes in a white and brass finish. The fan blades have a total span of 52 inches and have a beautiful faded brown and tan look. This fan looks very much like the typical "tropical cabana fan" you think of when you picture a tropical resort.

It did take quite a bit of time to install this fan, but it was worth it. The fan is very heavy, so plan to install it on a very sturdy ceiling. Be aware, the blades look like wood, but they are actually plastic.

There are a few things that need to be addressed about this fan even though we just installed it. First, the shortest rod included with the fan is 6 inches long. If you have a low ceiling, like ours, it does hang a bit too low. We have ours right over our bed so it does not bother us too much. There is a 3 inch rod available, but you have to purchase it. Second, our fan does not balance. It comes with a balancing kit, but we can not get it to balance no matter what we do. It is not too bad on medium and low, but on high the pull chains swing so much they bang on the fan. We will need to contact the manufacture about this problem.

This fan does push air very well even on the low setting. I would recommend this fan to anyone looking into buying one, just get some help to install it.

Heavy-duty air circulation! Sounds like it would be a bit much for a DIY project for some people though.

That is a beautiful looking ceiling fan. It is too bad that you cannot get it to balance in order to use it on the highest setting. If you do contact the company and get a response, I would be most interested in hearing what they have to say or what they do.

I have this fan too! We don't have that issue with balancing. I would definitely contact the company. We run ours on high all the time as it is in an outside room that has no air conditioning.

My mom has this fan, and I helped her when she was having it installed. It certainly gets your attention when you walk into the room. I was a bit surprised at the extender that was required: it seems like everyone has vaulted ceilings these days and they want those, but I think they should be optional.
