Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
By SweetMeg214 onInstallment number two of the Harry Potter series is probably my least favorite.I can't put my finger on it, but something about a giant snake roaming through the pipes of Hogwarts just seemed too far fetched for me (even for a Harry Potter book.)Also, the back story about Aragog just seemed unnecessary.Maybe I am missing something but I just can't think of how that plays out as important later on in the series. It seems like everything else comes full circle in some way, but I don't see it in his storyline. Also, I thought that later in the series, the fact that Ginny had been inhabitated by Lord Voldemort would play a bigger role, but it never got more than a line or two in a subsequent book. The book itself is ok, as is necessary for the series, I just don't think that it works as well as a stand alone book as others in the series.
