Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire: Disappointing By fnordian on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Being a big fan of the Harry Potter books and movies, I was excited to make my first foray into the video game sector of HP merchandise. However, I was sorely disappointed by the PS2 version of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Because of the triwizard tournament events, I thought for sure this game would be entertaining, but gameplay was awkward, the graphics were severely lacking (in that it was frequently too dark to see what was happening on the screen, even with major adjustments to my TV's settings to make it as bright as possible), and the plot was just boring. Furthermore, the thing that I most looked forward to about this game was its option for multiplayer mode. I tried playing with a friend shortly after puchasing the game, and found it extremely difficult to coordinate our movements. Because of the abovementioned graphics problems, it was also often difficult to determine which character was mine. I found this game to be extremely frustrating and gave up after the first few levels; I haven't gone back to it since.
