I found this Hartz dog shampoo in a house I was cleaning and decided to try it out. Neither my terrier poodle mix nor my beagle likes to have a bath, so I thought maybe the calming effect of lavender in this shampoo might have some effect on them.

Well to tell you the truth, I can't really say for sure if it was the shampoo that made this bath time a relaxing one. But they both stood perfectly still the whole time they were being bathed. The beagle even sat down, which I never recall her doing during a bath. I guess I will have to try this a couple more times before I swear it is the calming effects of the shampoo that is causing them to behave during their baths. But I can vouch for at least one good experience.

At the very least, I can say that the shampoo lathered up well and was easy to wash out. I really like the scent, it's not overwhelming. All the doggy smells are gone and all that is left is a pleasant soft scent. Their coat looks and feels so soft. I would definitely recommend this as one of the best shampoo's I have used for dogs.
