Hassock Portable Toilet
By Louella onI bought this portable toilet prior to one of our camping trips.I was very unsure of how close a restroom would be, since we were camping in the mountains. This Hassock Portable Toilet really worked out well.My husband laughed at me for buying it, but even he got some good use out of it.
It is made out of strong plastic and weights about 6 lbs. There isa smaller bucket inside of a larger bucket, with a toilet shaped seat.It also has a lid and another piece that fits inside the lid with a deep hole to put your toilet paper. Two built in handles on the main outside bucket for carrying. All the pieces stack ontop of each other. The Hassock Portable Toilet comes with a bag for waste.Other bags are sold seperatley.
I am very happy with the Hassock Portable Toilet and will never go camping again without it.

Very interesting. Can you comment on how it is emptied? Do you connect somehow to trailer dump station hookup?
It comes with a bag, other bags are sold seperately. Each bag has some kind of chemical/cleanser to add also. You do your thing into the bags. When you are ready to dispose you just close it up like a garbage bag, and take to the waste stations.
that is what i thought also. but really, all you do is take a bag out, just like you do your garbage. tie it off and go to the waste dump. thanks for the comments.
Oh my! I don't go camping so have never heard of this product - very interesting.
OH this would be a must if I was to go camping for an extended period of time. I would like my own potty!
I have seen these used by folks who were taking a vehicle somewhere that there were not latrines. Much better than leaving TP in the woods if you are not up to digging a hole for use on site. I think you are supposed to dispose of the bags at a trailer dump station, right? Human waste is not supposed to go to landfills (although disposable diapers fly in the face of that).
A camping need that makes it easier for the camper.
Very clever idea - We've never used one but could have at one camping location I was at years ago in Utah.
