Have Sinus Pressure? By kristyh on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Every winter time I have horrible sinus/ allergy and cold problems. I have been taking Dayquil for a cold that I have I have been battling. I bought the liquid gel caps (20 per box) from Wal-Mart. They are a little pricey but work pretty good for me. My mom has taken these and says they do not work at all for her. These pills are non-drowsy and they did not hype me up like some pills. They did help relieve my sinus pressure over my eyes. The also helped with the sinus drainage. I did not have any side effects while taking these pills. The downside was that they did not last the complete 4 hours. For me they started wearing off in about two hours. The main ingredients are- Acetaminophen for Sinus headache and pain, Phenylephrine for Sinus pressure and congestion, and it is Alcohol free / Antihistamine free. Also the pills are pretty big. I managed to get them down because I did not want to take the liquid version of dayquil. If the taste is anything like the liquid nyquil- YUCK! I would recommend trying these for your sinus pressure/congestion.
