When I recently saw this box of Jello silicone molds in the store it just looked like it would be so much fun to have. I loved the orange color, my favorite! This set includes one full sized mold and 4 mini molds made of FDA approved food grade silicone.

This is my first silicone purchase and I was not dissapointed. Thinking I would only be using them to make Jello for family get togethers (after all the box had JELLO all over it), I was very pleased to see that these molds are safe in the refrigerator or freezer, but also for baking as they are microwave safe and oven safe to 500 deg. F.

Make sure to wash them before the first use, and to make releasing whatever you are making in the mold an easy job, just use a little non-stick spray before each use. The molds are safe with normal utensils, whether plastic or metal, but don't even think of using a sharp knife!!

Making Jello using these molds was a hit the first time I brought the little jigglers out. The kids just loved the mini versions and I had made several batches for just this reason. My next venture was to bake a bundt cake. I thought the cake baked as well as using my metal bundt pan and it came right out without any sticky hangups after cooling it off a little. Since these molds can also be put in the freezer making ice rings would be a breeze but not something I've had a need to do as yet.

I put the molds on a flat surface such as a small cookie sheet when transferring full molds into the refrigerator or oven. Changing to silicone molds is in the near future for me. I love the color selections available, they weigh next to nothing and storing them takes up less room than traditional bakeware.

If you haven't tried silicone molds, buy just one and give it a try. I hope you like them as much as I do.
