Heart Glider By Tink on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
My husband bought this wonderful glider for our new deck. We love to sit outside in the evenings and relax. This is a double seated glider with cut out hearts. We have never painted the wood but we have treated it with a sealer. After many years of use it still looks brand new.
We had to do some adjustments on the glider, at the bottom, where it was rubbing too close to the other pieces of wood. A few shavings of the wood and we were good to go. The only other thing we have had problems with is that the bees love it as much as we do! We had some yellow jackets making holes in the bottom of the base. Hopefully they have found another home this year. We filled in the holes with putty and sanded it down so it is hardly noticeable.
One thing I wish this glider had is a cup holder. My husband said he could cut a hole in the table or on the arm rest and make that wish come true! It's hard to sit anything on the table while you are swinging in the glider. It simply doesn't work unless you are sitting still.
I have great memories of swinging with my granddaughter in my arms when she was just month's old. Now that she is a big girl (4) she sits in the other seat while we swing. I look forward to sharing this special glider with my grandson and my future grandchildren. It's a comfortable place to relax and share some great conversations.

You will have lots & lots more memories of swinging in this beautiful glider!
I have seen something very similar to this and I thought they would be a great piece to have. Still don't have one, but maybe some day
My husband and I need one of these so that we can spend some time together. Thanks for sharing.
I love this glider set. I would seal it, which would stop the bees from nesting in it and prevent wood worm or termites from making a meal of it:)
It sounds really nice. I don't have anywhere to put one! ):
This sounds really nice. I'd like to get something like this for my front porch. I would be like you in wanting a cup holder, because a lot of times, when you are out relaxing with a good book or family, you have a drink with you and need somewhere to put it besides on the ground where it can get knocked over. I'm glad you've gotten so much enjoyment out of your glider.
