Heart Shaped Box

I bought this book from the book club I am a member of. The discription in the ad interested me so i thought I would give it a try. It seemed just the type of book that I would enjoy. This is the first novel by the author, Joe Hill, and I hope he continues to write more because I really enjoyed this story and I think he has a lot of room to grow with his writing.

The basic plot of the story is a 50 somethin year old Rock Star, Jude, who draws the Goth crowd as fans and lovers finds a mysterious heart shaped box for sale on an online auction site. With this box comes the ghost of the sellers step father.The arival of this box that contains the suit of the dead man whos ghost follows. Jude and his girlfriend "Georgia", MaryBeth is her real name but Jude calls his girls by whatever state they call home, find out that this ghost was planned for jude. The sister of a former lover of Jude's has sold this suit and her step fathers ghost to Jude for the ghost to get revenge for the sisters death. The ghost terroizes Jude and "Georgia" through out their home and even through out a road tri. The end up extreamly injured and close to death by the end of the story but the story has a great ending. I wouldn't want to give away the ending.

If you enjoy horror stories then I recomend this story. It's entertaining and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's 376 pages long, they go fast and end it wanting more.
