Imagine my dismay... My parents and various relatives are in town for the Thanksgiving holiday, and my mother starts complaining that it is too cold in my house. I adjust the thermostat and nothing happens... My furnace has stopped working!!

I called our handy man Dan and asked him to come look at the furnace, and he informs me he will look at it, but isn't able to preform any major repairs, as he is not certified to do this sort of job. Luckily for me, Dan the handyman is very kind, and as he refered me to a technician who will repair my furnace he brought over three portable space heaters to help keep my family from freezing.

One of the space heaters Dan loaned me was an older model, the Heat stream 1000. I don't know who made this heater, but despite its age it has really helped us out! This heater is about 18 inches long, has adjustable heat settings, and it will shut off if it is knocked over, or bumped into.

This little heater puts out some serious heat, it is a very dry heat, but it is better than freezing definately!
