I'm a big guy. The traditional bathroom scales are useless to me. They are always too small for me to balance precariously on, I can't see the tiny dial "somewhere down there", and they max out at 200 lbs.
I found a large, heavy-duty "professional" scale that is made by Health-O-Meter on Amazon.com. It is extremely sturdy. The places where you put your feet are plenty roomy enough, and covered with non-slip rubber. The dial is huge, with extra large, easy to read numbers. And, it has a capacity of up to 390 lbs., which is plenty enough to accomodate most everyone.
The best part - it only cost me $29.99! This is a high quality, nice-looking scale that will last me for years to come.

Good information for those who need a scale like this one. I think the tiny numbers are hard for most of us over 40 to ready anyways. Thanks for the great suggestion. The price is right too !
