Reviewing: Scholastic Help Me Be Good Series
Purchased at: Scholastic Book Club

My mother in law started buying these books for us. In all the total of books we have gotten in this series has been 24. They are all very colorful and illistrated very nicely. The topics of all these books are to tell stories about a certain behavior and explain why each behavior is not acceptable. You read through the books with your child and then talk about what the story was about and how your child might feel if this was done to them. Each book gives a demonstration of what the bad behavior is and what the behavior would be like when minding your manors. They have a section for the parents to ask question for their children on what is being read.

These books focus on interrupting, gossiping, being rude, being a bully. To throwing tatrums ,whining, being selfish, snooping, to cheatig. So as you read you get an idea of the topics. It sems like they would be a great teaching tool. Since we have just recieved them, I am looking foward to reading them with my girls.

This sounds like a great book. I think these books would be a gem in my house. I have a 9 year old and a 13 year old, and still have the issues you mentioned.
