Henckels International Eversharp Santoku Set

I bought this set of santoku knives this summer in the middle of canning season.I grew most of my own vegetables, and I was canning the majority of them; I was frustrated with my old knife set though, because I couldn't cut soft items like tomatoes without squishing them.

I wanted to get a knife set to make canning easier, but I had no idea that I would get a set that would make cooking in general so much more enjoyable!I chose this set because it included a 5" and a 7" knife, which I thought would be more versatile.Also, it is dishwasher safe, although it is recommended to be hand washed.I have done both, and haven't have any problems.

The knives have been used quite a bit so far, and seem to holding up extremely well; they cut evenly and easily, and the handles are very comfortable to hold and use for long periods of time.I would definitely recommend this set to anyone who likes to cook!
