Henry Ford Museum By Debbie831 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

As in my previous review this is part of Greenfield Village but all together different and you definitely can't do both in one day!

Henry Ford Museum is a building, not like Greenfield Village which is an outside village. It is open year round and is only closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

When you walk into this museum you will definitely feel like you are stepping back in time and the first thing that will strike you is how did they get this all in here. Inside the museum of course you will see the first Model T, but thats just the beginning. Henry Ford has collected just about everything you could imagine in this building.

You will see the Wright Brothers plane, the first train, every kind of car imaginable, the first sewing machine, washer & dryer and even John F Kennedy's limo.

Just like the village make sure you give yourself a full day and have a good pair of walking shoes on. The cost to get into the museum is $14.00 for adults and $10 for kids but they offer all kind of tour packages. Some include both the village and museum and overnight accommodation's. They have great restaurants to stop and grab something to eat.

I truly believe that between both of these places you can get a great feel of how America grew up!

For anyone who is interested in the history of vehicles, particularly motor cars it take a long day or more to really go through this museum.
