Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses For The Holidays By Laurel1 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Like every other candy maker, Hershey's makes a special treat or two for each season. One of their best for Christmas is the Candy Cane Kiss, first seen in 2006.

Unlike the original Hershey's Kisses, Candy Cane Kisses start with white chocolate, and swirl in bits of peppermint candy and some red coloring. They are brightly wrapped in silvery foil with a red candy cane or ribbon design. While the plastic bag they come in is not especially festive (although it is a seasonal bright red), they make a great display in a holiday candy dish, or a basket or tin to brighten up a gift.

Like most Hershey's products, they are affordable and easy to find. Pretty much every grocery store and discount retailer (Target, Wal-Mart, etc.) carries them, and if you check for sales, you can get an 11 ounce bag for $2 or less (not on sale, I've seen them as high as $3.49 for this size -- so shop wisely). They have the slightly waxy texture that is typical of American chocolates, but you can't blame them for that. I'm giving them a 5, as a tasty and all-American treat.

Yum! My daughter would love this candy. She's a big fan of peppermint and chocolate. I like my kisses with almonds but I'd be willing to bet that she would love these.
