Hide Me From The Sun! By msculit on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The summer heat in Dubai is not for the faint hearted and thin skinned :) Kidding aside, it is that time of the year again when the summer months stretches from June to late September and the hottest is August.

I am gearing myself for the skin darkening and drying spell that Dubai weather has to offer to fair-skinned people like myself. I am not a sun-worshipper because I tend to get freckles and if I stay longer than usual, I turn like a beet root! So, to avoid getting burned under the merciless heat of the Dubai summer, I bought this Banana Boat Sun Protection UVA & UVB Lotion for my everyday use. It is SPF 50 and water resistant. It contains aloe vera and vitamin E known for their cooling effect.

It comes in a squeezable tube of 118 ml and it is slightly greasy despite the note on the tube that says "non-greasy." I don't know but for some reason, whenever I use this, I look like I slathered a cooking oil on my skin. It's greasy!

One thing I like about this product though, it is cheaper than Coppertone and does not leave those white streaks when you apply it on your skin.

I am not sure though if this is good for everyday use but I feel that it is more apt for the beach. However, I use this while I drive because my left arm is now slightly darker the other and it looks very weird.

I certainly like this product despite the greasy effect it has on my skin. I don't get sun burn now because of this.
