High Museum of Art Atlanta

If you live around Atlanta or plan to visit, make sure you make The High Muesum of Art one of your stops! This is definitely a must see and filled with the most amazing works of art you'll ever see. I've been there a few times and never get tired of seeing the exibits, especially when they make appearances from europe! Right now through September 7th a display from the Louve will be available to see.I was fortunate enough to see the exibit on Paris in the age of ipressionisim, which had works from Monet, Van Gough and many many more classic artists.
Tickets are fairly reasonable at 18 dollars for adults, 15 dollars for students and seniors, kids 11 dollars, and if they are under 5 its free! Also you can get a city pass which allows you to take in more sights around the city for 69 dollars. Also, there is headphones available for free to give you a self guided tour if you wish to learn more about what you are seeing, and if you get hungry or would like a memento of your visit, there is a great cafe and souvenier shop right there with free wifi access if you need it! My daughter has visited the High in Atlanta and she says it's art is impressive, plus the building itself is really beautiful. How lucky were you to get to visit when the French Impressionists Exhibition was on. My mother had seen many of these works at the Louvre, so I've always wanted to see these myself.
I have not been down there for a few years now but I do agree tat it is a great museum. I'm a little jadded since I am a home town girl but I have been to museums around the world and this has always been a favorite of mine.
Wow you're so lucky that you got to see such wonderful artwork! I would definitely LOVE to visit that museum if I was in the area!
