High School Musical
By Jeanette Dusci onIf you haven't heard of High School Musical you've obviously been living under a rock or don't have kids. This is a Disney movie that is like the modern day "Grease". Unlike Grease, however, it is highly wholesome and appropriate for all ages. The movie is about a basketball star at a high school who meets and falls for a brainy girl. They try out for the high school's musical and get the lead roles. They are then torn by their friends- he by the jocks and she by the science team. They struggle with trying to figure out where they fit in. I feel like the movie has a great message about branching out and trying new things. You don't have to fit in one particular mold. My kids love this movie and watch it over and over. I must admit the songs are very catchy and I catch myself singing them from time to time. I like how the main characters never even kiss in the movie and feel like it's so goody-goody, but my kids enjoy it anyway. What a bonus!

My daughter is a Troy fanatic, and she's only six! It is a good movie for kids and parents, haven't seen the sequel yet, but the original is good.
