This High School Musical Rockin Sing Along Microphone is the most annoying toy I have ever seen or heard. There is an on/off switch and a number one and two button. You can hear two different songs from High School Musical which play very loud! The annoying thing about this toy is the insanly loud screeching noise that is made when the child talks or sings it the microphone. It's like the loud feedback you get from a real microphone and it's ear breaking and of course the kids think it's the funniest thing ever and keep doing it over and over. The concept of a kids microphone is a great idea but they need to come out with a better design. The volume is way too loud and the feedback problems make it a toy that mom and dad want to throw away.

Sorry to hear that the High School Musical Rockin Sing Along Microphone has not workes out well for your son. I too would not like to listen to a loud and screeching noise for very long. You might be better finding one of those plastic microphones with the sponge ball on top. They always seem to work pretty well! Nice job!
