Hills Science Diet Puppy Food By Karen on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I recently acquired two new pups (what a handful). When my husband and I took them to the vet, he recommended Hills Science Diet for their food. I purchased a 20 lb. bag at PetSmart for $28.99, which lasts me about a month. The pups seem to really like the food. What I like about it is the fact that it seems to be very nutritious for growing puppies. It contains natural fish oil, with DHA, and the formula I get is the Puppy Small Bites, which is small enough for them to handle.

Hills Science Diet Puppy Formula (for up to one year of age) is good for digestion, strong bones and muscles, good skin and healthy coat, strong teeth and healthy mouth, and the DHA is good for brain and vision development. It also contains clinically proven antioxidants for a healthy immune system.

My pups like the food, and it certainly seems to be nutritious for them, so I feel good feeding it to them. There is a chart on the side of the bag which guides you as to how much to feed according to age and body weight. It comes in various sizes, the 20 lb. bag seems to work well for me. So far, I am pleased with Hills Science Diet, and I must say that my two pups seem to be thriving on it. Their coats are shiny and healthy looking, they have a lot of energy, and their body weight is good. I would recommend Hills Science Diet Puppy Small Bites for anyone with small pups under one year of age looking for a healthy diet for their little furry pals.
