I have three dachshund puppies, and my veterinarian recommended Hill's Science Diet for their food. I also give them Hill's Science Diet Treats with real chicken, in medium bone for puppies up to 12 months of age. My dogs love the treats, they even fight over who is going to get the most. A 2 lb bag costs $6.59 at Petsmart, and I feel that I am giving the pups something nutritious when they eat these treats. Hill's Science Diet has dog treats for every stage of your dog's life, adult, light, senior and Jerky Plus. I like this, because as the pups get older, there will be treats available for them that will suit their age. I like Hill's Science Diet Treats, and the dogs seem to really enjoy them too.
