Reviewing: None United States Military Academy, West Point, New York

The United States Military Academy situated at West Point, New York is America's oldest continuously occupied military installations in the country. Its long history and the critical nature of its role in developing commissioned leaders of character contribute to the Military Academy's structure as an American national treasure.

Historically speaking, the Academy has produced graduates who have contributed or nation's growth and security in peace and war since 1802. It has graduated several of our country's greatest presidents as well. Being that is possesses a wealth of history, the Academy attracts nearly three million visitors yearly.

I have lived on the Academy forr twenty six years as my husband serves in the USARMY here. It is amazing how we take for granted all of the history which has taken place here. The nearby Hudson Valley is a beautiful area which has all four seasons for visitors to visit yearly. The best time to come here is during the fall when the area's trees are full of beautifully colored leaves. According to the New York State Department of Tourism, the U.S. Military Academy is one of New York's top three tourist attractions. If you get a chance to visit you can enjoy both the beauty and the history of the area!

My husband revisited Westpoint last year during a break in his trip for the reserves. He went there many moons ago. I would love to see it one day. He has many tales!
