Hjc Cl 14 Motorcycle Helmet By Dixie Daniels on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
The HJC CL-14 features a lightweight injection molded polycarbonate composite shell, it meets both Snell and DOT qualifications, has a channeled dual-density EPS liner, and an aerodynamic shell shape with a larger eye port for greater visibility. Many different visors are available, though it comes with a clear visor; mirrored, smoky, or colored visors are available separately.
I found this helmet on ebay for a great price, and find it to be a good beginner's helmet. This is my first motorcycle helmet, and while I find that it provides more than adequate protection and comfort, the noise level is very high at high speeds. Either it whistles when the visor is cracked, or it howls when the visor is down.

This sounds like a great helmet - thanks for sharing.
Wow, I don't think I could stand the noise you describe.
Sounds like a comfortable helmet but the whistling and howling sounds would drive me crazy when riding.
Looks like it is a pretty good helmet there that gives lotsof protection.
Well, at least it provides protection, but I think the howling would drive me nuts.
