Hjc Flip Top Helmet By verjavec on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is a great helmet! All of the protective qualities of a full face with the benefits of a 3/4. When you are riding, lock the chin bar down in position. When you stop, you can lift it up to talk and cool off your face. The face shield still raises and lowers in addition to the chin bar to give maximum flexibility. There is only one button to press to raise it up making it very user friendly.

This helmet comes with ear pads of different sizes so you can customize it for your comfort.

I find it makes getting it on and off a lot easier to have the chin bar up. Then I lock it into position when I'm ready to ride.

You can also purchase different face shields for this helmet. I have a mirrored face shield that works as my sunglasses since it provides U/V protection in addition to the clear face shield that is provided with every purchase. I keep my spare shield in a tube sock to protect it.

Sounds like a good helmet. Nice that the face shields are interchangeable.

This is a brand I have never heard of but sounds like one we need to check out. I like the flip top idea and the interchangeable visors is always great, easy to switch from night time and day time driving shields.

I think it's great that the shield has UV protection-is that standard with all helmets? If it isn't, it sounds like it should be!

This sounds like a great "safe" helmet. Thanks for sharing..

Sounds like a great helmet - really like that you can change to the UV protection.
