A friend installed this catback system on his car (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX) where HKS makes this catback exhaust for various types of cars. First of all, this piece is aesthetically pleasing and provides a nice upgrade to the stock exhaust system. Besides being pretty, the exhaust also sounds wonderful providing a powerful grunt from the engine. I love how this car sounds when I am driving with him. We did not install it ourselves but went to a shop that he usually goes to for his upgrades and installation. It does not seem like an overly difficult process as long as you have a lift and can access the bottom of the vehicle at ease. The exhaust flow is increased due to the larger and free flowing piping and provides a bit more power from the engine. We did not have time to dyno to see what kind of gains were achieved but my guess would be a few horsepower. For anyone looking at upgrading their exhaust system, HKS is a great and reputable company to try for great performance parts.
