Live Through This is the album that introduced me to Courtney Love and Hole. It's a great album filled with rock songs and highly personal lyrics.

The album opener Violet is a great rock song and it is so much fun to listen to them rock their guitars as Courtney screams out the lyrics in parts of the song. The song goes back and forth from being a mellow affair to totally rocking out. The song is a great introduction to the band.

The ballad Doll Parts comes across as the most personal of the songs here, but a lot of the songs appear to have very personal lyrics. It's just that in a lot of the other songs those personal lyrics are being yelled at us. Other highlights on the disc are Miss World (which was the first single), Asking for It, and Jennifer's Body.

This is a really good album here. It rocks out a bit more than their next album does, and also sounds a bit more raw. It's an excellend collection of songs.
