Holmes Blizzard Oscillating Fan By Jan Mayrhofer on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
The Blizzard Fan is a reliable and well designed one. The design of the grill is unique and somehow makes the air coming out feel cooler than other fans I have used. And isn't that the whole point?
My fan is small, but is perfect for the situation in my office. I've had this fan in my office for almost two years now. It still works great! I've only ever used it on the lowest setting because that gives me plenty of cooling and the higher speeds get noisier. The noise level at the low speed has never bothered me.
I think the fact that it works just like new after two year's use is worthy, because I actually use it every day all year long. It gets switched on and off when my menopausal hot flashes switch on and off. Considering how often this happens in a day, it must be a high quality switch that can take that much abuse.
The location of the switch is the only negative I can think of with my fan. It is in the back of the fan, so a little awkward. I actually prefer a switch that is at the base of the fan right in front. It is a dial switch, not a push button. Maybe that is what helps it last.
Of course the best part about the Blizzard Fan is its ability to cool me down and for that job I give it an A+.
Holmes Blizzard Purchased at: Home Depot Price: $14.99

I have the Holmes heaters and I like those too.
I too love Homes Fans, They always seem to be priced perfect for a great product.
One of my co-workers has this exact fan and she uses it almost every day. Our office is set up so that one end of the aisle (my end) is freezing cold, while her end is blazing hot.
Sounds like it works great and except for the switch, it seems to be well worth the purchase price. Thanks for the info
