If you suffer from foot pain after a hard days work, the Homedics Shiatsu Foot Massager could be the solution to your suffering.

I received an earlier model of the Homedics Shiatsu Foot Massager as a gift. I dont stand on my feet as much as I used to, but I do work out and I have very flat feet. As a result, any walks more than a few miles would cause me pain where my arches should be at the end of the day. So my family bought the Homedics Shiatsu Foot Massager to give me some relief. They made an excellent choice, with a few minor adjustments.

Homedics Shiatsu Foot Massager: Rotating Relief

The Homedics Shiatsu Foot Massager is only a foot long and requires electrical power for operation. That means you have to sit near a plug, although the device has a three foot standard 110 volt electrical cord. The difference between the Homedics Shiatsu Foot Massager and other foot pain relievers is that it uses rotating, smooth balls to massage you versus constant vibration. This is a great advantage because the Shiatsu-style massage digs deep into the foot muscles. The outer balls rotate clockwise while the inner sets go counter clockwise, improving your circulation while you get relief. Once you push the On button youre your toe, you can place your feet on the rotating balls and adjust as necessary to find that perfect sore spot.

The Homedics Shiatsu Foot Massager is also fairly quiet in comparison to vibrating massagers. The only real sound youll hear is an ahhhhh from your throat.

Heat Option

My only disappointment with the Homedics Shiatsu Foot Massager is the heat option. Granted, you can feel a little bit of heat after five minutes of warming up. But it isnt enough to make a significant difference. Maybe if your feet were frozen, the heat would have a bigger presence. Otherwise, there isnt much to this feature.

To get a full massage from the Homedics Shiatsu Foot Massager, I suggest you put on some slick socks or apply lotion to your feet. Dry feet can cause the balls to catch and not spin correctly.I also advise not to put too much pressure on it for the same reason. I found that it works best if youre sitting in a chair that lets you put your feet flat on the ground and your thighs perpendicular to the floor. That way the Homedics Shiatsu Foot Massager can do what it does best: make your feet feel good at the end of the day.
