I have three cats and one of my older cats named Tiger had recently gotten scratched along the stomach by my younger cat, Storm. It was a very small scratch and was healing until Tiger began nibbling and licking it. The area became irritated and as she kept nibbling she created a habit in nibbling at that region. So I consulted a vet from 1-800-Petmeds and they suggested the HomeoPet Skin & Itch Relief remedy. This was a 15ml tube where I was supposed to give Tiger five drops a day to be given by mouth or in their water bowls. Since I have more than one cat, I decided to stray away from the water bowl method and just giver her drops by mouth.

This was a $12 failure. Not only did the licking and nibbling not stop, this medication seemed to knock Tiger out for a few hours after giving it to her. I had tried this product for about three weeks until I moved onto a more reliable method, a small dog cone collar and an antibiotic spray. Tiger may not be happy with the new treatment, but at least it is working.

In conclusion, I do not recommend HomeoPet Skin & Itch Relief for pets
