Honda Generator ... Camp All You Want !! By Aiman Amir on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

My husband and I are a big fan of out doors. Every time that we planned an out door activity we needed equipment that could run on a car battery. Instead of buying separate equipment for home and out doors we used to rent it. In order to get rid of this continuous issue we purchased an electric generator. Now we simply take any home appliance that we require and need not worry about the power issue.

After a careful market research we ended up buying a Honda EP2200CX. It is easy to operate. It produces 2200W AC and 8.3amp 12Volt DC out put. It is equipped with an air-cooled, OHV single cylinder, 4 stroke engine, which is as maintenance free as they ever come. It has a recoil starting system, which is very easy to pull and does not require a hunk to start it up. It comes with a large capacity silent muffler which makes a significant noise reduction. It has a 14.5 liters fuel tank and can run up to 13 hours continuously.

The biggest concern that I had with running my home appliances on a generator was the uneven delivery of power that may cause damage to my appliances. Honda EP2200CX is equipped with an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) which produces an equal delivery of power which minimizes the possibilities of any damage to the appliances. Also, the Honda EP2200CX is also equipped with a circuit breaker that protects the equipment from damage.

The safety feature of Honda EP2200CX are not limited to the protection of appliances running on it but also offers safety features for the generator its self. Honda EP2200CX uses 10w-30 engine oil for lubrication. This lubrication is critical for the engine protection against wear tear, and with out the oil the engine with burn out. EP2200CX will automatically shut off if the engine oil is low. It has an AC circuit breaker and a voltmeter installed.

Ever since we bought the Honda EP2200CX we are happy campers. I m very happy with the performance and highly recommend this Honda Generator. Should you need a generator that delivers both the safety and performance, Honda EP2200CX is the answer.

These generators have been genuine lifesavers for people who live in snow country, where a blizzard or ice storm can cause downed lines and power interrruptions. Honda makes a highly popular and reliable line of generators. So you picked a good solid performer.
