Honeymoon In San Antonio, Texas By BrookeTx on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Looking for a place to get away after your wedding, but cannot afford much? Try out San Antonio, Texas. San Antonio has the infamous Riverwalk that is oh so romantic!
Depending on your price range you can stay several miles, blocks or right on the Riverwalk. We stayed right on the riverwalk and was able to walk out of the hotel right on the river.
The food is amazing especially their mexican food! They have lots of restaurants that are not in the town I live in such as Planet Hollywood, Dick's etc. The food is reasonable priced and not considerable overflated due to the area!
As far as activities and attractions there is the Riverwalk of course. You can take a private, romantic boat road on the river. Also a few miles from the Riverwalk is Market Square which I would compare to Mexico. It has the singers and the taco stands and the shopping!
If you are looking for an inexpensive Honeymoon try out San Antonio, Texas!

I love San Antonio, the Riverwalk is a great place to visit.
San Antonio is really beautiful and I love the River Walk in the evening - very romantic.
I love San Antonio. The nearby mission trail is very romantic to walk around and there are lots of nearby places in the Hill Country appropriate for day trips!
I've already been on a honeymoon, but I'm going to recommend San Antonio to my friend who is getting married on a strict and fairly low budget!
Sounds like a great place to visit on a budget!
San Antonio sounds wonderful, have never been there, but hope to visit there soon.
Don't forget the horse drawn carriage rides! Soooo romantic! I don't know if they still have this, but, in addition to the riverboat rides there used to be some paddle boats you could rent.
This does sound like a great place to take a vacation. Thanks for the information.
This sounds like it would be a nice vacation spot.
Hubby and I had one of our most memorable and intimate times with evenings strolling the Riverwalk. It is simply marvelous.
