Honeywell Ht800 Super Turbo Fan By derwood on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I originally purchased this fan to replace a large floorstanding model that I owned, when the motor began to fail and make excessive noise. I selected this fan specifically because of its small size, which would fit nicely in the small apartment I was living in at the time. The fact that it had a nice low price was also a bonus.

When I got the fan home, I took it out of the box, set it up across the room from where I normally sat, and turned it on. For its size, this fan is quite powerful. It actually moved a lot more air than the floorstanding model that it replaced. It offers three speeds, as well as an adjustable vertical angle which allows up to 90° of movement.

The biggest downside I've noticed with this fan is that it is very loud. I guess that is to be expected, though, because such a small fan has to run extra fast to move the amount of air that this one does.

I've actually owned about six or seven of these fans over the past few years. Now that I'm living in a house, I have one in each bedroom, a couple in the basement, and even one in my office at work. I've found that with regular use, these fans should last somewhere between two and three years before the motor begins to bog down.

Overall, for their small size and small price, I'm pretty happy with these fans.
