Honeywell Programmable Thermostat

This programmable thermostat has been one of the best purchases I have made over the last few years. It has run flawlessly and the thing that I really love with these is you can program them to turn the heat way down just after you walk out the door to go to work. You also program it so it turns the heat up just before you walk into the house at the end of a busy day at work so you are not walking into a freezing house. The other technique I utilize is to have it drop the temperature duringthe night as I am under the covers and raise the heat just before my alarm goes off in the morning.According to many studies that have been done you save lots of money doing these things and my heating bill reflected the savings as well. Honeywell did a nice job designing this unit. It has a light built in and also will tell you if the batteries are low and need replacement. It also has a switch to go back and forth from standard time to daylight savings. Using one of these units along with an efficient furnace can really make a huge difference wallet wise. This device is also able to control a central air conditioning unit as well. I would recommend this thermostat to anyone interested in good service and saving money.
