I've tried a lot of diets and I've tried a lot of the low calorie substitutions for my favorite snacks. While most fail to live up to their original full fat brothers the Hostess 100 Calorie Pack cupcakes are different.

While the original cupcake was large with white frosting on the inside and thick chocolate frosting with white swirls on the top, this product is a little different. These cupcakes still have the creamy white filling and the chocolate frosting but gone are the cute little white swirls. These low calorie cupcakes taste almost exactly like the original Hostess cupcake, but not quite. The taste of the chocolate cake is just a little bit off. It's not bad just a little different. The creamy filling tastes the same which is a real positive.

With the 100 calorie snack pack one serving is three mini cupcakes. When I say mini I mean mini. You can eat each cupcake in two bites if you take very small bites. But after all these this is a diet food and something has to give.

If you have a craving for something sweet or a piece of cake this is one of the best low calorie foods to curb your craving.
