Hot Chip - The Warning

Hot Chip is a London based electronic band. Their album 'The Warning' shows a wide array of musical styles from the warm vocals in 'And I Was a Boy from School' to the pop-dance feel in 'Over and Over'. Overall, Hot Chip has very bold percussion with minimalistic and very catchy synth and vocals. Although simple, the music is very layered and has a very full feel - there is plenty of musicality in their songs; its nothing simple. They are similar to other bands such as LCD Soundsystem, !!! (Chk Chk Chk), and Junior Boys. Compared to their older album Coming on Strong, The Warning has a few songs that have a bit more of a pop feel, but the album still represents their original groove that is represented in their original album.
