Household Auto Finance
By dlpcarden onMy husband and I financed an automobile through Household Automotive. At the time we financed we got a horrible interest rate. Our past credit score had not been that great.The dealer told us that after a year of making payments we would be able to refinance at a much lower interest rate. That was not the case. When we called Household to try and start the whole refinancing process we were told that we would not be able to refinance.Since we were unable to refinance we ended up getting behind in our payments. We were asking friends and family for help but we no longer wanted to ask so we called Household Auto Finance to try and set up some type of arrangement. The customer service agents were so rude..they did not want to try and help us out in anyway. The customer service agent at one point asked us "why can't we ask friends and family for some more money". Needless to say we never were able to work an arrangement out.
I will never recommend Household Automotive Finance Company to anyone...not even my worst enemy..

Thank you for sharing an honest and painful experience with HF. We successfully sued them years ago for similar reasons and won:)
ugh! we are going through the same thing with our auto finance company. It is very stressful and very annoying when they say to ask other people! I always want to ask them if their credit is perfect and if they never get behind on anything since they treat people so badly.
