Kohl's has been doing a promotion lately to support health and educational opportunities for children in the US. As part of that, they're selling these cute dinosaur books and dinosaur stuffed animals with 100% of the profits going to the children.
This book, by Jane Yolen, is part of that promotion, but it is an absolutely adorable way to teach your children table manners. My son, 3, especially loves this book and all the crazy things the dinosaurs do in the beginning. Each phrase in the beginning is a question about a rude table behavior, such as "Does he flip his spaghetti high into the air?" J will yell back, "No!" The second half of the book has the dinosaurs demonstrating proper table behavior.
The illustrations are done by Mark Teague and are very enjoyable. The name of each type of dinosaur is spelled out somewhere in the illustration, making it fun to hunt for the dinosaur's name with your child. Everything rhymes, which increases it's appeal to young children.
Overall, I would highly recommend this book to parents of young children.
