How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight? By peytonshea02 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

If you have a little boy or girl who loves dinosaurs but doesn't like bedtime, the multi-award winning book How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night by Jane Yolan & Mark Teague is the perfect story to share. The first thing that you see when you open the front cover, is dozens of adorable little dinosaurs (with their real names) in their beds getting ready for bedtime. My son is fascinated by these illustrations! In fact all the illustrations throughout the entire story are amazing. The story begins when the Dino's dad comes in to turn out his light for bedtime. They go over all kinds of options, like slamming his tail and pouting or stomping his feet. Then they ask how does the dino say goodnight when mama comes in. Does he mope, sulk or sigh? In the end the adorable Dino teaches us the right way to say goodnight...with a big kiss and a hug and saying "good night". The perfect bedtime story!

I love the title, and it seems like the rest of the book is just as cute. How do kids so young pick up on the irony of dinosaurs in bed? Yet they do!

We actually have this book and I forgot about it until now. I bet my son would love it as he's really enjoying "dinonaur"s now.
