After three knee surgeries I developed arthritis at the age of twenty-two. If you suffer from arthritis you know the pain is unbearable to deal with. I was prescribed to Naproxen 500mg and take it twice aday.

Naproxen is used for management of mild to moderate pain, fever and inflammation. One very important reminder is to take this prescription drug with food or upset stomach will occur. Naproxen is the generic name I recieve because of coverage cost through health insurance. The other brand names are Anaprox, Naprelan, Naprosyn or Aleve. My co-pay is only ten dollars and I have tried the others and it is just as effective.

As with any prescription medications there are possible side effects and you should be sure to read any and all before taking the medication.
