How To Say It By Chefmom on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have to write a fairly large amount of business letters, both for my husband's office and volunteer work I'm involved in. When I impulsively purchased "How To Say It: Choice Words, Phrases, Sentences and Paragraphs for Every Situation," I had no idea I would be using it almost as much as I turn to my old dog-eared and faded Reader's Digest Thorsarus. "How To Say It is" is divided into those categories we so often use, but frequently have no idea what to say. Complaints, fundraising, sales, references, apologies and collections are just some of the topics. Under each topic, there is an introduction, then words, phrases, paragraphs and sample letters follow. I recently had to write a difficult letter of sympathy to a former client who had lost his wife. Using this book, I feel I was able to craft a kind and appropriate note.

We all have times when we need to know exactly "how to say it." This book should be on your reference shelf.
