HP 1100 Series Laser Printer

I bought this printer used on Ebay since I needed a cheap, black and white printer to print out essays for school.For the most part, this printer serves this purpose excellently.

The print quality is very good.Text is crisp and very easy to read.Images are ok, but are in grayscale.

It is very slow.The feed mechanism takes forever to load a new page.Because it only supports Parallel communication, the amount of time it takes to transfer the data to the printer is very large.

I've printed thousands of pages and the toner is still holding up.It is cheap to replace as well, which is one of the things that initially attracted me to the printer.Overall, it's a simple, no-nonsense laser printer that does what I need with minimal cost and fuss.
