HP Desk Jet 3 All in one printer
By chesneychic onI bought the HP Desk Jet printer to replace our old one so we decided to buy an all in one to give us the capability to scan, print and copy.It connects via a USB cable and was easily set up for windows. My husband has been using the scanner to scan old family photos into the computer and has been quite pleased with the results.
It has a one button copy feature that allows you to make copies independent of having the computer on.You just press the button it scans your document and then prints it out.We have pleased with the quality of the printouts however there have been a few shortcomings.
The printer seems to go through the ink quite fast.It seems to loose its connection to the computer every time it runs out of paper. We have to unhook the USB cable and reboot the computer to get it to run again.Lastly when printing it seems to forcefully eject the paper which leads a mess on the floor if you are doing a multipage document.Considering the relatively low cost for all the features the printer has it turned it to be a good bargain.

Too bad the machine has a some annoying quirks, sounds like it would be great if it would just behave ;).
I like HP's printers. They are pretty good and the ink has generally always been cheaper than for other printers.
Wow, seems like a lot of annoying things to this printer - but I guess it's a pretty good price, so maybe not that bad of a deal overall.
This sounds like a pretty good printer when it wants to be!!
Wonder if HP might have a fix for the annoying issue of having to reboot when the paper runs out? I have an HP all in one and love it. My printer has that forceful paper release as well. Guess it's better than getting half stuck in the printer tho'!
The problem with printers are they are cheap but the inks are just too expensive!! Thanks for sharing.
