Hp Deskjet F4140 By balentine2 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought this HP printer two months ago because i wanted to do a family history in pictures for my fathers 80th birthday. I had gathered pictures from family members and needed a way to scan them into my computer. I found this printer at WalMart for $80.00 and decided to give it a try.

I have used all three functions on this machine, Printing, scanning and copying. They have all worked wonderfully. It was very easy to install and use. Just insert the installation disc into your drive and follow the onscreen directions. It took about 10 minutes to get it up and running.

This printer came with one color ink cartridge, two black ink cartridges, HP Photosmart Essential software. how-to guide, power cord and Nova Photo Greeting Card software. It has a 100 page paper insert tray and 50 page output. It will print up to 20 pages per minute in black and 14 in color.

It makes very clear copies. It can be set to make up to 3 copies at a time. The copier has scaling settings from 25 to 400%. It can be set to make copies on plain or photo paper.

I bought this machine basically for the scanner function. It is very easy to use and scans items very clearly. It has a flatbed scanner and can scan an image up to 8.5 by 11.7 in.

This printer connects with a USB cable. It is also compatible with a home network. We have a wireless network setup and my two sons are able to access this printer from there laptops and use it.

If you are lookint for an inexpensive all-in-one printer/scanner/copier check out this machine. You won't be disappointed.

$80 is a great price for a scanner/printer/copier in one! While I do not care for HP computers or laptops their printers have a very good history of quality, especially for photographs. I am glad that this one is doing what you need it to do.

We own the HP 2570. I believe that was the best purchase we have ever made. The picture print quality is amazing. When we have to replace this one, we're sticking with HP.
