I bought this printer and I have been using it on my Windows Vista Desktop computer for quite some time without any problems at all. Then out of the clear blue sky, it just stopped printing, I tried to plug out the usb connection and plug it back in and that would seem to fix it, but even that option only lasted for so long until it stopped printing again. Sometimes I would have to go to the extreme of restarting the computer to get it to recognize that the printer is attached, and as usual, that fix only lasted a very short period of time. I am completely at my wits end with this printer and I am serious planning on throwing it away and buy a new one. But my concern is, is it the printer that is giving the problem of is it the Windows Vista Operating System that is totally messing things up with the printer itself. For the time being, I am stuck playing technician whever it decides to stop working in the middle of the print process, all I can do now it be patient.

You might try uninstalling the printer and then reinstalling it if you can't find a new driver for it.

We had problems with Vista and our hp printer at first. You have to get the right driver and Vista installation software from the hp site. As a matter of fact, we had issues with all of our older peripherals and Vista connecting. Of course, you never know with these things. I hope you get it all sorted out.

Vista was good... Kinda, when it first came out. I've since made the switch to Linux. Sooooo much better! You should really consider it!
