Hp Laserjet 1018 By EricBauman on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Laserjet 1018 is at this point in time HP's least expensive laser printer on the market. This makes it especially great for use at home or in a very small office. It's price is lower than that of any competing small laser printer for home use. It's a small printer, smaller than most non-laser printer HP makes, and definitely smaller than all printer-scanner-copier devices available today.

But this is not a printer for everyone. As should be expected from basic laser printers it only prints in black and white, and the different shades of gray aren't very distinct. If you're only looking for a printer to print out documents like letters and school assignments this is okay, buy I wouldn't by it for a family with kids who'd want to make colourfull collages and things like that.

The printer's fast, very fast if you're used to non-laser printers. I've rated network features with a 2 because there's no direct network interface. Because it's a USB printer though, you could share it through windows anyway.
