Setting up the printer is easy for a personal monochrome laser. You just have to install the toner cartridge, load paper, connect a USB cable , and run the automated installation routine, and you're ready to print.
Maximum print resolution of this printer is upto 600 x 600 dpi.
This is a colour printer with print speed of up to 12 ppm. I have been using this only for my home office so it doesnt really matter much for me that it has to be of extreme high quality.
I use it to print the paper sizes of A4, andpostcards, envelopes mainly.It has a maximum paper capacity of upto 150 sheets.
Photo quality is good enough for things like client newsletters and printing Web pages. Also the graphics quality is pretty good. Only the text quality is not very suitable for very important clients because of the solid fills.
I am using this printer on my Windows XP. I own this printer in my office and have been using it from past 6 months.
I have found this printer as a reasonably good quality and reliable one suitable for a small home office. Moreover HP LaserJet 1018 have an advantage over other printers. The slashing prices of the printers have made common man affordable to such good quality products.

We have been looking for a laser printer. I will have to look this one up on the net and see if I can get one here and how much it is in the US. Thanks for the info.
Definitely anything from hp is good. Do you know that hp stands for high price product? But high price product is normally associated with high quality. That 's why they can sell.
