HP M 407 has auto focus 3X optical zoom and 6X digital zoom for 18X total. It has 4.1 MP memeory with 1.8 inch LCD screen. It has short video beside photos. I at first was happy with the camera but prices keep going lower and memory keep expanding. It is also difficult to get correct modes and controls and the controls seem counter to my normal way of thinking. I found I never get full benifit of the zoom and using for video is nice but in the order of 30 seconds not practical for most uses.

I had two problems with this camera it uses a lot of batteries and has difficulties with downloading photos. The download problem I researched the internet is related to a battery connection defect in this model. I am usually very happy with HP products but this camera very much dissapoints me.
