HP OfficeJet Pro K5400 Inkjet Printer
By Jennifer Claerr onMy old computer inkjet printer, an HP OfficeJet All-in-One model 710, was on its last legs.Worse, it was an ink hog.It nearly cost as much to replace its two ink cartridges as it would cost to buy a new printer.
I went to Best Buy to see if I could buy a new HP laser printer. The salesman suggested I buy an HP OfficeJet Pro model K5400 inkjet printer instead. He said it was actually more efficient with the printer cartridges than laser printers. I was skeptical. Anyway, they didn't have that printer in stock. The salesman recommended that I buy it on Best Buy's website. I went home and researched this printer carefully.Based on the product page on HP, the K5400 was everything the Best Buy salesman had claimed. I bought the printer directly from HP, since they had a significant discount.
The HP OfficeJet Pro K5400 inkjet printer is everything they claim. It prints beautifully and in high-resolution. It is so efficient on ink I imagine I could go a year without replacing the cartidges. The only problem I've had with it is with printing photographs. For some reason, they discolor after a few weeks. If you want to save money on printing letters, maps and other documents and you don't need to print photographs, I highly recommend this HP inkjet printer.
