HP Pavilion - A Good Choice

Reviewing: Hewlett Packard Pavilion Dv6700 Notebook
Purchased at: Circuit City     Price: $600.00 USD

My Hewlett Packard laptop computer has been problem free and easy to use since I bought it about eight months ago. It has a 2 gig AMD 64X2 processor and 3 gigs of ram. I'm not much of a techie when it comes to computer hardware, but it seems to be working just great.
It came loaded with Windows Vista Home Premium for its operating system, which concerned me a little since I was accustomed to using Windows XP and didn't really feel like learning something new. It has been fine, though, and I can honestly say I have no complaints about Vista as an OS.
My laptop has a fifteen inch monitor, which is plenty big. Any larger would make it too heavy for me. I sometimes do miss having a number pad, though, which is only available on the seventeen inch monitor model.
I can play movies or music in the DVD player and the sound system is quite good.
The battery will last about two hours, which can come in handy if you have to be away from an electrical outlet. Normally, I just use it while it is plugged in, though.
A cooling fan is probably a good idea, as it does get pretty hot after a while.
I've been happy with my HP laptop and in retrospect would still make it my choice.

Sounds like HP has learned from the problems these laptops had from 2006 to 2008 with defective motherboards. Hope you get years of great use from the laptop. Thanks for the info.
