HP Pavilion a600n Desktop PC
By Jennifer Claerr onI purchased the HP Pavilion a600n for my son's computer. This desktop PC has many of the features of my HP Pavilion 716n, and although it has a slower processor than my computer, I find that it runs programs nearly as quickly. The HP Pavilion a600n has an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ 2.08 GHz processor with an advanced 333 MHz front side bus.It comes with 512 MB of RAM installed, with a speed of PC2700.The compute is upgradable to 1 GB of memory.I have no experience with the hard drive, as mine came without one, however I was able to install a new hard drive with ease.I have had difficulty with the CD-RW/DVD combo drive, most likely because this is a child's computer, and the boys have been too rough with the drive. The video graphics are excellent, with up to 64 MB of allocated video memory.I use the integrated 10/100 Base-T Network Interface Ethernet card on a daily basis in my wireless home network.Since this is primarily a gaming computer for my sons, the integrated AC97 audio is also a huge plus. There is a 9-in-1 card on the front with a USB interface and a digital media card reader which we use primarily for using a flash drive with the computer.I ordered the system restore disks from HP, and the software reinstalled like a dream. The HP Pavilion a600n has been an excellent computer for my two children's gaming needs.

Seems to be pretty good for the cheap price.
My kids have been asking for a computer for their rooms and this one sounds like a good one. The memory not so good but hey they are kids right. Thanks for sharing!
